One invoice instead of four hundred receipts
Our customers paid for every booking on a card. Finance teams hated it. This is how we moved 2,400 companies to one monthly invoice.

When I joined, every flight, room and dinner booked through Vandra was paid on a company card, one charge at a time. A single offsite could leave a finance team with four hundred receipts to match.
Starting with the people who suffer most
Before writing any code, I spent two weeks with the finance teams at five of our customers. They did not want a new dashboard. They wanted one invoice, in their own currency, that matched their cost centres.
Small steps, all reversible
We moved customers in groups of fifty, starting with the ones who had asked for it. Each group could go back to cards with one switch, and three of them did in the first month. We fixed what they found and moved them again.
What changed
Today almost every customer pays one invoice a month. Support tickets about payments fell by two thirds, and I get to spend my time on the next problem instead of the last one.
